1 year anniversary

I meant to get this posted yesterday but ran out of time. Yesterday marks the one year anniversary of two of our foster kiddos. We sure have come a long way in that time frame. They are great kids and have been great kids from the start but they were sad, nervous, not sure about anything when they came. We were their second placement due to a BAD placement the first time so that made their anxiety even higher. But they have blended into our family. They have so many that love them. The oldest, MK, has even began to show me affection. I was pretty much last on her list to that. I understand though, she didn't want to appear to be a traitor to her Mom. They love their parents and their parents love them. Now that they have a stable home to be and they have regular visits there is a peace that has just settled within them. I am so happy for them. I am so thankful God chose us for them to come and live with. It doesn't seem it has been a year...we all have learned so much. Continue to pray for them. They still have some hoops to go through. Right now we just take each day as it comes. I love them so much and I am so thankful for them!

My how time flies! Yes, I remember them being at VBS with us last year. My kids are sure having fun with MK.

Thanks so much for standing up and standing in for these children. You are a wonderful example to all Christ followers by loving His children.

My Favorite Vacation Spots

My all time fav spots are all on the Oregon Coast. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Oregon coast and I am very proud of it. It's beautiful, peaceful, serene, and FUN!!! We go there as much as possible which isn't as much as we would like but at least it is driving distance. My other fav is the Happiest Place on Earth. I hav e been a total of 3 times but it was the last 2 times I went that were the best. The first time when I was in high school and the singing group I was a part of went. The second time was in 2000 when I took my older two kids and my niece . We had a great time BUT the dream that came true was the trip I took back in October of 08. My two youngest girls and I saved and saved and we finally was able to go. We had the best time ever. An absolute perfect beautiful trip. They are now both Disneyland lovers. I would love to be able to go more often but working hard to be able to go makes you appreciate it so much. AND the place I DREAM of going on vacation......I have dream

My 'adult' daughter K is expecting my grandson on the 27th BUT...just last week I told her I 'felt' like she wouldn't make it that long. I have felt she would have him early. We went to her check up on Monday and she is dilated 2cm and her cervix is thin...sooooo....I'm thinking our little guy will be here way before Christmas. The dad is still in training at Great Lakes Illinois and will be coming home on the 18th but I don't think my grandson will wait for that date either. I know this is a heavy burden for them because they so want to share the end of her pregnancy together and especially the delivery...but as we know...these babes make their debuts when the heavenly father says it's time. So this 'Nana' is on alert. The baby shower is Saturday so it would be respectful of the little guy to wait until that's over but if not I'm ok with that. I'm ok with all of it...it's those pesky parents who want plans to go as....welllll...u
